equipment. We manufacture in two modern facilities near Mumbai, India, and employ
over 150 trained and committed people. We have a range of Construction and Mining
Air Tools and new products are regularly added to the range.

EDICON was established in 1974 by Anthony D’Cunha as a parts manufacturing set up
for pneumatic tools & hydraulic equipment, with a very simple yet robust business
philosophy that took Edicon places: ‘Give the customer the best possible quality
at an unbeatable price. If they find value for money, they’ll never leave you.’
Within its first two years of existence, EDICON expanded rapidly, producing complete
tools. Our first and most popular paving breaker, the EM83A, was launched in the
following year which panned out to be a huge success, currently enjoying a 60% share
in the Indian market.

Edicon Pneumatic is fully compliant with ISO (9001: 2008). This Quality Assurance
system, certified by TUV Germany, is the backbone of our manufacturing operations,
outlining the process right from the procurement of raw material through processing,
assembly and testing. At present we have CE certification for a number of our tools
and we strive to add to this list continually. Our system ensures strict adherence
to the tightest design specifications and standards, right from the physical and
chemical quality of the steel used in our forgings, castings and bar stock, through
to the dimensional accuracy of the machined components, to heat treatment, grind
and assembly right to the final acceptance testing of the assembled products. We
place the utmost importance on quality, and are widely reputed to manufacture products
that deliver a superior performance.
Highly precise grinding machines and hones, agile multi-axis machining centres,
gun and ejector drilling machines and a whole raft of purpose built machines and
tooling ensure quick, efficient production of the precise components that go into
our pneumatic tools.
Every tool is individually tested for performance on custom built test rigs and
must comply with our stringent acceptance norms. This ensures that each product
delivers the consistent performance and quality associated with the Edicon brand.
Our in-house Noise and Vibration (NV) lab and certification facility, fully equipped
with state of the art B&K monitoring equipment, has been successfully audited and
certified by AV Technology ltd, a CE notified UK based body. Thus we are able to
test and certify products for the CE (European) market in house, independently.
